Residency Requirement

All students are required to live on campus for four (4) consecutive semesters, unless a new or non-housing student is approved thirty (30) days prior to the beginning of the first day of classes each semester for one of the following exemptions:

Exemption Reasons

  • The student lives with a parent or legal guardian within a fifty (50) mile driving distance of the Fairmont State University Main Campus.
  • The student is over the age of twenty-one (21).
  • The student is married.
  • The student is the custodial parent of a dependent child.
