Institutional Accreditation

Fairmont State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission to offer Associates, Bachelors, and Masters degrees in addition to Certificate programs. Fairmont State has been accredited since 1928 and is committed to reaffirming and advancing its commitment to academic excellence and student support through its accreditation and compliance-related actions. The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission also provides additional oversight of new and existing degree programs.
