Fairmont State University’s Theatre Programs Kick Off Day of Giving with Mamma Mia themed event

Mamma Mia June 2025 Performance

Fairmont State University’s theatre programs are thrilled to host a special community event to kick off Day of Giving 2026, inviting alumni, supporters, families, and friends to come together for an evening of fun and Falcon pride. The celebration will take place on Sunday, February 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Fairmont State Events Center at the Commons, located at 2600 Middletown Commons, Suite 128, White Hall, WV 26554.

This upbeat kickoff event will feature performances by many of the Mamma Mia cast from the Town and Gown June 2025 production. Attendees can enjoy an array of Mamma Mia themed interactive activities, including costume and dance contests, raffles, and in-event games and activities designed to delight guests of all ages! To add even more flair to the evening, the celebration will offer themed mocktails and a selection of Greek-inspired hors d’oeuvres.

“We are so excited for this event and to have the opportunity to celebrate the amazing success of our production of Mamma Mia last June, as well as raise money for our theatre programs at Fairmont State,” said Director of Performing Arts Outreach & Development, Leigh Anne Riley. “We had requests for weeks after Mamma Mia closed, asking us to do just one more show. We thought this would be a great way to celebrate our theater programs and kick off Fairmont State Day of Giving–all while incorporating some crowd favorites performed by our cast. Wear your best Mamma Mia inspired outfits and come out to celebrate with us!”

Registration for the event is required and the deadline to register is Wednesday, February 18. To register, visit www.fsufoundation.org/mamma-mia-dog26
