Fairmont State University to host Spring Maroon & White Visitation Day

Mar 02, 2022

Fairmont State University will host future Falcons on campus during Maroon & White Day on Saturday, April 9. The spring visitation day provides the opportunity for both traditional and non-traditional prospective students and their families to explore the University’s offerings.

“We support our students throughout their entire college journey, from their first visit to graduation and beyond,” said Fairmont State University President, Mirta M. Martin. “We are thrilled to continue hosting future Falcons, their friends and their families on campus at our Maroon & White visitation day to provide answers to the big questions they may have about going to college, like how to pay for school and what to major in. They’ll also get inside information firsthand from the people who know best and work tirelessly to ensure their success – our dedicated teacher-mentors and our caring staff.”

Maroon & White Day will kick off with an opening session at 10 a.m. From there, students will be divided into six groups according to their areas of interest or major. Academic showcases from the University’s five colleges will be hosted by faculty throughout the day, while staff will provide informational sessions on topics including financial aid, housing, student services, among others. Students will also tour different areas of campus including classrooms, laboratories and residence halls.

“We encourage all students interested in attending Fairmont State to join us for Maroon & White Day on April 9,” said Fairmont State University Vice President for Student Success, Ken Fettig. “This event affords us the opportunity to provide prospective students a glimpse into life on campus as a Falcon, while meeting one-on-one with our caring teacher-mentors and knowledgeable staff.”
