The Fairmont State University Center for Career Services and Civic Engagement will host the Spring Career Fair on Thursday, March 17 in the Falcon Center. The annual Career Fair is the largest networking event of the academic year, which allows for both students and alumni to engage with local and national employers.
“We encourage students and alumni alike to join us for a great day of networking with the Falcon Family,” said Fairmont State Director of Career Services and Civic Engagement, Susan Rodriguez. “This event provides opportunities to share resumes, engage with companies within ranging industries and practice interview skills.”
The event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. in Falcon Center Gym 1 with various activities taking place throughout the day including breakout sessions and opportunities to have professional headshots taken to be used during job searches.
“We support our students throughout their college journey, from the moment they step foot on campus, throughout their pursuit of a degree, and continue to support them after graduation,” said Fairmont State University President, Mirta M. Martin. “We take pride in educating a skilled workforce and the next generation of citizen leaders. Events such as this not only allow us to better prepare our students for the professional world, but these events also provide our students and alumni with networking and job opportunities.”
In addition to providing networking opportunities on the day of the Career Fair, students and alumni may visit Career Services to practice interview skills, explore career options and for resume consultations prior to meeting with potential employers on the day of the event.
