Community Music Program Registration Open

The Fairmont State University Community Music Program, which is offered on the main campus and at the Gaston Caperton Center in Clarksburg, is now accepting registration for private and class study for the spring semester.

Classes are offered for those age 5 through adult at beginner through advanced levels of study. Registration will be open through Jan. 30, 2008. Students enrolling may choose to take private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, strings, woodwind, brass or percussion instruments. Introduction to Piano Class will be offered in Fairmont for those age 6-8 who are piano beginners; a piano in the home is not required. Teachers in the program are highly qualified professional personnel who have a teaching degree and experience teaching all ages. The program prepares students for the enjoyment of music, reading music, exploring music and musical ability, college preparation, competitions, other performance needs and other interests a student may have as related to all styles of music.
