Auditions Set for 'Once Upon a Mattress'

Auditions are being held for Fairmont State University's Town & Gown production of "Once Upon a Mattress." The director is Jeffrey H. Ingman and the musical director is Valarie Huffman.

Male and female actors ages 13 and older are needed. A total of 25 roles are available. Rehearsals begin Monday, Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. There will be no performance during the week of Thanksgiving. "Once Upon a Mattress" opens Nov. 16 and runs through Dec 1.

Auditions will be held in Wallman Hall, Room 236. General auditions are planned for Monday, Sept. 17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Call-back auditions will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Those auditioning are asked to prepare an "up tempo" song of any length and to provide the sheet music. No recordings are allowed.
