West Virginia Dance Company to Perform at FSU

Apr 05, 2017

Fairmont State University announces the upcoming performance of the West Virginia Dance Company (WVDC) at Wallman Hall Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6. The performance is free and open to the public.

Since 1977, the WVDC has toured throughout West Virginia, as well as 14 other states, with professional arts-based learning programs. Performing for tens of thousands annually, the WVDC performs a thorough blend of entertaining and thought-provoking modern works.

The WVDC also will present an arts-integrated workshop titled “So You Think You Can Dance” to FSU and Pierpont Community & Technical College students from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. April 6 in Room 314 of Wallman Hall.

As a registered 501(c) 3 not-for-profit, the WVDC is funded through the generous donations of individuals, corporations, community foundations and the state of West Virginia. The performance at Fairmont State University is sponsored with funds provided through the Office of Student Activities and the Student Government Association.
