Get FREE Teletherapy with BetterMynd

What You Get

  • FREE teletherapy sessions for enrolled Fairmont State students each academic year
  • Daytime, evening, and weekend availability
  • Sessions during academic breaks
  • Meet on from any device (phone, tablet, or laptop)

You can also choose a counselor based on demographics, identities, lived experiences, and clinical specialties, helping you find a fit that feels right.

Common Reasons Students Reach Out

  • Feeling consistently low or sad
  • Persistent anxiety or stress
  • Academic pressures and performance concerns
  • Housing or roommate tensions
  • Grief or loss
  • Past or current experiences of trauma or abuse
  • Family or relationship challenges
  • Experiencing discrimination (e.g., race, religion, immigration status, gender, sexual orientation, disability, weight)

There’s no “wrong reason” to ask for help. If you’re unsure, start with a session and explore it together.
