Science, Energy and Engineering Fair Planned
Entries are now being sought for the North Central West Virginia Science, Energy and
                        Engineering Fair to be held Friday and Saturday, March 23-24, at Fairmont State.
                        
                        	Students in grades six-12 are eligible to enter projects in the following categories:
                        energy, engineering, botany, zoology, chemistry and biochemistry, earth and space
                        science, physics, math and computers; medicine, health and microbiology; and behavioral
                        and social science. Project entries should include laboratory, field or theoretical
                        research. Projects may be individual or team projects. Team projects are encouraged
                        for the engineering category, and individual projects are encouraged for the other
                        categories. The fair will have two divisions; a Junior Division (Grades six through
                        nine) and a Senior Division (Grades 10-12).
                        
                        	The judges will be looking for creative ability, scientific thought and projects
                        that promote engineering goals, thoroughness, skill and clarity. In the Junior Division,
                        the judges will also be looking for dramatic value and personal involvement.
