April 2026 Video Message

Falcons,  

With nearly 90% of our students hailing from West Virginia, it’s easy to overlook the incredible impact our out-of-state students have and the vast opportunities available to them here.  

President Davis’ guest this month is alumnus and Board of Governors member Drew Paton, who was once a transfer student from Maryland. He was looking for a great place to get a degree while also spreading his wings and stepping out of the shadow of his older brother.  

“When I left for college, I was Andrew. When I returned, I was Drew,” said Paton.” This place literally made me who I am today.”  

Fairmont State University truly is a great place to learn and to call home.
