TEAS Exam Impact

TEAS Exam

At this time, the LEAD Center will not be offering TEAS exam sessions nor do we have TEAS-specific tutors. However, students can still book sessions with our tutors to receive test-prep assistance for a specific portion of the exam. Please stop by the front desk, book on Navigate, or email us at lead@fairmontstate.edu to schedule an appointment in your desired subject area (i.e. reading, English, mathematics, and science).

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a four part assesment consisting of reading, English, mathematics, and science. Students interested in admission to the College of Nursing must take the exam as part of admission requirements.

Remote

Fairmont State University's College of Nursing no longer accepts TEAS results from ATI's remotely proctored exams. Students attempting to take the TEAS test for the Fairmont State nursing program MUST take the exam at an independent testing center with in-person, on-site proctoring. Please ensure the testing center you have chosen is  approved by The College of Nursing. Exam reports with "ATI TEAS by ATI Testing - Nursing" will NOT be accepted.

In-Person

Students can take the TEAS exam in-person by registering through ATI  or reaching out to their nursing advisor for more information. Currently, the closest location to Fairmont State University is Pierpont Community and Technical College. Students will need to send their scores to Fairmont State after taking the exam.
