History Professor Presents Paper in N.J.
Dr. Patrick M. Albano of the Fairmont State University Department of Social Sciences
recently presented a paper titled, "Victor and the Vanquished: Union and Confederate
Veterans Organizations 1865-1900," at Drew University, Caspersen Graduate School,
in Madison, N.J.
Albano, an FSU assistant professor, teaches World Civilization, U.S. History and
Diplomatic History and was also chosen to develop and teach a course on the History
of Intelligence and Espionage. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political
Science from Rutgers University in Newark, N.J.; a Master of Business Administration
from Rutgers University Graduate School of Management; a Master of Arts in History
with an emphasis on U.S. History from the East Stroudsburg University Graduate School
in Stroudsburg, Pa.; and a Doctor of Letters in Humanities, Intellectual and Cultural
History, Modern History and Literature from Drew University. His doctoral thesis earned
him the Robert L. Chapman Prize for creative thought and excellent prose style. Albano
has also conducted post-graduate work at Temple University in Philadelphia.
