Blood Drive on Campus Nov. 30
Central Blood Bank will be on campus Wednesday, Nov. 30, for a blood drive.
Central Blood Bank provides the blood supply for Fairmont General Hospital. Every
unit of blood donated can help save up to three individual lives.
"Our last blood drive in September was very successful," said Laurie Johnston, Director
of Student Activities. "We are asking for your help again to ensure that there will
be enough blood available as we approach the holidays. These blood donations save
lives."
The blood drive will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Turley Center Ballroom. Those
who would like to donate blood should sign up in advance to make an appointment. Sign
ups will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, on the first floor of the Falcon
Center or can be made by calling (304) 367-4705. Walk-ins will be accepted.
Those donating blood should eat and drink the night before and the morning of the
blood drive and should bring their driver's license, social security card or birth
certificate with them.
The event is sponsored by Fairmont State Student Government and the Central Blood
Bank.
