Annual International Programs

Please stay tuned for a full calendar of events for the 2022-2023 academic year as we welcome (and welcome back!) our international Falcons and bring global opportunities to our students, faculty, and staff.

International Student Organization actively participates in organizing the two major international events throughout the academic year, in conjunction with International Education Committee and International Advising Office, and also under the leadership and guidance of International Programming Coordinator. 

These two major international events include:

  1. International Education Week in November (in correspondence to the national international education week)
  2. International Festival in April.

International Education Week

International Education Week is designed to promote the global awareness in educational context on campus and it is coordinated by the International Programming Coordinator in conjunction with International Education Committee of Fairmont State University as well as the office of EPICS and  International Student Organization.  International Education Week takes place in November in correspondence to the international education week at the national level and it typically includes the activities such as:

  1. International Exhibition
  2. Round Table Discussion on International Education
  3. Flag Raising
  4. Cultural Identity Workshop

International Festival

International Festival is designed to promote the global awareness through cultural and social events on campus and it is coordinated by International Programming Coordinator in conjunction with International Education Committee of the Fairmont State University as well as Office of EPICS and International Student Organization under the guidance of Student Government.  International Festival takes place in April and it typically includes the activities such as:

  1. Tastes of the World (jointly with the Student Government)
  2. International Evening Program that includes dance and music performances
  3. Flag Raising
  4. Cultural Identity Workshop.
