Transfer Success Scholarship

Effective for 2024-2025

Fairmont State University is committed to making quality higher education affordable to our transfer students.  The scholarship is awarded at the time that you apply to Fairmont State University, no additional application required. The Transfer Scholarship in addition to other scholarships cannot exceed the base tuition and required fees for any student. Students who are admitted by 'exception' are not eligible for the scholarship.  

Admissions application to Fairmont State University is free, scholarship priority to those admitted prior to July 1st.

• Be an undergraduate student
• Be working toward your first bachelor’s degree
• Must transfer in at least 24 credit hours
• Complete your Fairmont State University admissions file (general application, high school transcript, and college transcripts) prior to entry to Fairmont State University by July 1st

• Recipients must maintain an overall GPA of a 3.0 at the end of each academic year.
• A minimum of 30 credit hours must be obtained each academic year of enrollment (fall, spring, and summer).
• It can only be awarded up to 7 semesters.
