Dr. Valerie Morphew is Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation (CTLI). She has been on the faculty since 2000. In addition to directing and teaching, Dr. Morphew is the program coordinator for both the Instructional Design and Technology M.Ed. program and Professional Studies M.Ed. program. Although she’s taught at various levels over the years, including middle school, high school, and undergraduate, she currently teaches graduate level courses at Fairmont State University. Dr. Morphew’s expertise is in the areas of instructional design, technology, and curriculum development.

Victoria Maher is one of the Instructional Designers in the CTLI. Victoria has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Level (4-8 grade) Education with a concentration in Mathematics, and a Master of Science Degree in Instructional Design and Technology, both from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. Alongside her role as an Instructional Designer at Fairmont State, she also is an adjunct instructor. Victoria can assist faculty and staff with course design, Blackboard course building, various product training, professional development badge reporting and much more.

Malinda Blevins is an Instructional Designer with the CTLI Team. She received her Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education (K-6) as well as her Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology from Fairmont State University. Prior to her role, she taught in both brick-and-mortar and online learning environments, as well as delivered professional development sessions regarding best practices in the virtual environment. She is happy to assist faculty and staff with Blackboard course design, building, and alignment.
