The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a four part assesment consisting of reading, English, mathematics, and science. Students interested in admission to the College of Nursing must take the exam as part of admission requirements.
Students can register to take the TEAS exam directly through ATI with remote proctoring. The experience is exactly the same as the exam given at Fairmont State: both are given on a computer. Students should utilize the library's second and third floors or book a study room to ensure quiet, low-distraction testing environments. For help registering for a remote exam, including computer access, students should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If students take the TEAS exam with ATI, you will need to manually send your scores to Fairmont State. To do this, after finishing the exam, click "My Results" and choose "Send Transcript."
The LEAD Center offers limited sessions of the TEAS exam for students' convenience. Exam dates are listed on the library calendar and on our website. Payment for the exam is $90, due in form of exact cash or check made payable to Fairmont State University. All payments must be brought to The LEAD Center, located on the second floor of the Library. Payment for the exam is due no later than one week prior to the exam date. If you do not submit payment by the end of business hours the week before your exam, you will lose your reserved seat. In order to receive a full refund, cancellations must be submitted to email@example.com no later than 48 hours before the exam.
