Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports are all about bringing the Fairmont State community together through friendly competition. Students can form teams with friends, classmates, or residence hall groups and enjoy playing the sports they love in a relaxed, inclusive environment. From organized leagues to one-day events, there is something for everyone.

Looking for something fun to do between classes? Fairmont State Campus Recreation hosts intramural pop-up events nearly every Tuesday throughout the semester. These quick, low-commitment activities give students the chance to stop by, play, compete, and have fun without needing to commit to an entire league.

Fairmont State Intramural Sports give students the opportunity to stay active, meet new people, and compete in a fun and welcoming environment. With a variety of leagues, tournaments, and special events offered throughout the academic year, there is always a way to get in the game—whether you are a seasoned athlete or just looking to try something new.

Intramural Sports isn’t always about competition on the court or field! Our fishing trip gives students the opportunity to get outdoors, enjoy some friendly competition, and spend time connecting with fellow Falcons. From casting a line to cheering each other on, these events are all about getting active, trying something new, and enjoying the Fairmont State community.
