We offer educational and recreational activities that are simple to follow and fun to participate in. The activities offer children physical and nutritional activities along with socialization leaving them with personal growth, increased self-esteem, respect for different cultures, team work and social communication.
Age Requirements

  • Campers must be between the ages of 6-12 years old while attending camp.  
  • Junior Counselors must be at least 14 years old and complete the required application process.
Camp Safety

We strive for safety first with all aspects of camp.  

  • Members of the staff receive CPR/First Aid/AED training.  
  • All lifeguards are certified through the American Red Cross.

Camp Scholarship

Scholarships are available to campers for the 2019 Summer Camp!  A scholarship is good for one week of camp.  Families in need of assistance can contact camp staff regarding scholarship opportunities.
Camp Attendance

For 2019 we will be offering seven weekly sessions of camp, however, due to State regulations, each camper is limited to six total weeks of attendance due to state regulations.  Please note that there will be no camp during the week of Fourth of July (July 1st - 5th).

2019 Schedule

Week 1 - June 10 - 14: Superheroes! Hometown and Hollywood
This week is all about showcasing our heroes! From our local hometown heroes that our there for us every day to our favorite super heroes we see on the big screen! All capped off with showing off what you want to be when you grow up!

Week 2 - June 17 - 21: Mad Science
This week is going to be a blast! Come experiment with us exploring science as Falcon Camp turns into a Mad Scientist laboratory for a week! But beware you might get a little slimy.

Week 3 - June 24 - 28: Sports of All Sorts
Come join us as we dive into the wide world of sports! We will cover football, basketball, volleyball, soccer and so much more! Be sure to have your game face on and come dressed supporting your favorite team!

Week 4 - July 8 - 12: Summer Safari
Lions, tigers and bears oh my! Join us to learn all about animals this week as we make animal masks, go on a mammal egg hunt and much much more!

Week 5 - July 15 -19: Outdoor Adventure
Let’s take to the outdoors! During this week we will be spending time making s’mores, taking a hike, doing scavenger hunts and more in the lovely outdoors!

Week 6 - July 22 - 26: Showtime
Get ready to show off your skills! We are channeling our American Ninja Warrior with an obstacle course, trivia games like Family Feud, adding Chopped Junior into the kitchen for a pizza cooking challenge! That’s just to name a few!

Week 7 - July 29 - August 2: Falcon Fest
It’s the last week of camp and let’s wrap it up with a party and some of the camper’s favorite summer activities! The week will end with a bang and DJ to culminate yet another fun summer of Falcon Camp!

2019 Camp Cost

*Faculty and Staff are required to register at the Falcon Center Front Desk to receive discounted pricing.*
Faculty/Staff 6 Week Package: $800.00
Faculty/Staff Early Registration Weekly Cost: $150.00
Faculty/Staff General Registration Weekly Cost: $170.00

Community 6 Week Package: $860.00
Community Early Registration: $160.00
Community General Registration: $180.00

Multiple children discounts are available! A second child signed up (2 total children) receives a 15% discount and three or more children (3+ children attending) receives a 20% discount.  Please contact philip.locante@fairmontstate.edu or 304-368-7223 on how to receive the discount.

To receive early registration pricing you must register by the Thursday prior to the week you are planning to attend.

Signing Up

Step 1: Log in or Sign up
  • If you have previously created an account that information is still valid and should be used if applicable.
  • Please use the “Forgot your password” section if you forgot your username or password. 
  • If you create a new account, please check your e-mail first to verify your account before trying to log-in.  
  • If you are not receiving the verification email please check your junk/spam folder.
Step 2: Add your children "Dependents"
  • You must add all the children to your account that you wish to register to ensure you are registering the child and not yourself.
  • Click your username on the top right, select "Profile".
  • Then "Add a Dependent" which is found on the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Registering
  • From the homepage select "Programs".
  • Select "Summer 2019" under semester if not already highlighted.
  • Select the package you are wishing to register your child or children for.
  • Click "Register" and follow all prompts, completing the required information.
  • Proceed to checkout to complete registration and make payment.
Step 4: Physician Physical
  • All campers are required to have a physical completed by a physician prior to coming to camp.  Any camper that shows up to camp without a completed physician physical will not be allowed to attend camp until the form is received.
  • Forms can be submitted to Phil Locante at philip.locante@fairmontstate.edu, by mailing it to: Fairmont State University, Falcon Center, ATTN: Day Camp, 1201 Locust Ave, Fairmont, WV, 26554 or by bringing it to Monday morning drop off.
Physician Physical From
Please remember that a completed physician physical form must be submitted for each child or they will not be allowed to attend camp.

Cancellation Fee: $25.00
If you wish to withdraw from a session, please let us know two weeks prior to the beginning of the session. If you withdraw from any session after the two week deadline, you will incur this fee.

Late Pickup Fee - $15.00
Campers must be picked up by 5:30 pm each day, please call 304-368-7223 or 304-368-7222 if an emergency arises.

For camper drop off we recommend that you park in the Parking Garage top level (labeled building #3) or the round about behind the Falcon Center (labeled building #25).  For additional information please view the campus parking map.

Refund Request
For a refund to be processed, written communication should be sent to philip.locante@fairmontstate.edu which includes name, reason for refund, date(s) & address. All refunds are handled at the discretion of the Camp Management.
