Engage Fairmont State is Fairmont State University's online platform for student engagement.
It connects students to campus organizations, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities,
and co-curricular experiences.
Students, faculty, and staff can log in using their Fairmont State University credentials
through the Engage portal: engage.fairmontstate.edu.
CORQ is a mobile app that syncs with Engage, allowing you to easily find events on
campus, check in using your Event Pass, and explore involvement opportunities from
your phone.
All current Fairmont State students, faculty, and staff have access. Community members
may have limited access depending on event or group settings.
Visit the “Events” tab to browse upcoming programs, workshops, and social gatherings. You can filter by
category, date, or sponsoring organization.
At its simplest form, a campus event is any group gathering on campus that goes beyond
the confines of a meeting. Examples include speakers, training, celebrations, and
campus activities.
The process for scheduling meetings has not been affected. Meeting spaces are still
accessible and are able to be booked through the room reservation system. The only
spaces in the room reservation system affected are event spaces.
If you're planning an event that takes place off campus, it still needs to go through
Engage Fairmont State. Submitting your event through Engage ensures proper promotion, tracking, and support
from the university. All you need to do is check the “yes” under “Is this an off campus
event?" when submitting your event details. It's a simple step that helps keep everything
organized and connected, no matter where your event is held!
Prior to planning an event, you should submit your event in Engage. This will allow
you to confirm date, time and location of your event. You should never publicize an
event, internally or externally, if it has not already been submitted in Engage and
approved.
To ensure your event is properly promoted and supported, it’s important to choose
the correct submission form based on your audience. Events that include current faculty,
staff, and/or students should be submitted using an internal submission. Events that
are for external audiences only should be submitted using the external event request
form. If you are unsure which form to use, please contact the central scheduling office
at CentralSchedule@fairmontstate.edu.
Yes, you should still enter your event into Engage Fairmont State. Even if your event
is already listed in LibCal, Engage serves as the centralized platform for student
engagement, visibility, and data tracking.
If you've already arranged all logistical needs (like space reservations, setup, and
approvals), you can simply note that in the comments section before submitting your
Engage event form. This helps streamline the process while ensuring your event appears
on the campus-wide Engage calendar.
