Once you have carefully reviewed the financial aid offer, you must respond to the offer within 30 days from the post mark date of the aid offer notification. Failure to respond to the offer could result in an aid offer being cancelled. Due to funding limitations, some aid cannot be reinstated after being cancelled or declined.
All students must accept or decline their award(s) online at myFairmontState.edu by following the necessary steps:
- Log into myFairmontState
- Select Student Campus Resources
- Select ‘Financial Aid'
- Select 'Offer' tab
- Review and select your aid offers using the drop-down menu. Aid offers without a drop-down menu do not require repayment and will be automatically accepted on your behalf.
- Click Submit at the bottom of the page to confirm your decision.
NOTE: Failure to accept or decline funds may cause a delay in timely disbursements being made to your student account and any refunds expected to cover additional college costs.
