Justin Rader

Headshot of Justin RaderJustin started working at Fairmont State University in November 2021, and currently serves the University as the Assistant Director of Student Life with his office being located in TC 317f. Justin comes to Fairmont State with five years’ experience working in Student Affairs in the areas of Housing, Student Conduct, and Student Activities.  Justin holds a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Student Affairs, and currently a Doctoral Candidate at Liberty University studying Higher Education Administration: Leadership.

In Justin's words...

What do you like most about working at Fairmont State? Working at Fairmont State, my favorite aspect would be the impact that we, as a university, leave on our students by creating an environment that is warm, welcoming, and inclusive.

What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time, I spend time with my wife and son, taking a weekend trip to Pittsburgh with my wife, and entertaining family and friends at our home.

Where are you originally from? Craigsville, WV

If money was no object, what would you do with it? I would start by paying off my student loans, then I would pay for my family to have a nice vacation in the Caribbean.

What did you want to be when you were growing up? Growing up, I always knew I wanted in a field of education.

What is an interesting or fun fact about yourself? I once won a “Double Bubble” bubble blowing contest!
