How to be Readmitted to Fairmont State University

Definition

Students who have interrupted their schooling for one semester (not including summer term) must reapply for admission. Any previous holds must be removed before readmission can occur. Students who have attended another institution during this absence are considered to be transfer students and must comply with the requirements for transfer students.

Please note that students cannot be readmitted to Nursing and Aviation but must reapply to the program.

Financial Aid

Readmitted students must meet all requirements set by the United States Department of Education to receive Federal Financial Aid. Complete financial aid information can be found on the Office of Financial Aid page or by contacting the office at 304-367-4141 or  FinancialAid@FairmontState.edu.

Information on student account balances, holds, or academic suspensions may be obtained from Student Services located at the Turley Student Services Center or by contacting them at 304-367-4141.
