AIMSS program staff work with faculty across campus to ensure they understand the strengths and challenges college students with autism spectrum disorder face.
At the beginning of the Spring 2016 semester, Dr. Rebecca Hansen, Program Coordinator of the College Support Program at Marshall University, and Hilary Adams, Student Support Specialist, were invited to Fairmont State University to provide autism awareness training. The training targeted Faculty and Staff at Fairmont University, as well as Resident Directors and student housing staff. AIMSS staff will continue to provide training for faculty and staff at FSU. We are proud to be a part of the Allies Supporting Autism Spectrum Diversity bringing awareness to the Fairmont State University campus.
