Policies for Public Comment

The Fairmont State University Board of Governors held a meeting on Thursday, August 20, 2026, and approved issuance of this Notice of Proposed Rulemaking related to the potential adoption of BOG Policy on Intercollegiate Athletics.  This proposed policy established the requirement of Board of Governors’ approval before an intercollegiate athletics program is either added to or removed from the university.

The proposed policy is out for the required 30-day public comment period.  If you have comments to offer regarding the proposed amended policy, please submit those comments to publiccomment@fairmontstate.edu. Comments will be accepted through Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
