Fairmont State University implemented the AIMSS Program in 2015. AIMSS provides individualized planning to develop strategies and support for each student accepted into the program. Students accepted into the AIMSS program must meet criteria for admission to Fairmont State University.

Students and Program staff work together to identify and develop individualized supports based upon the strengths, abilities, and needs of each student. AIMSS staff provides academic, social, and daily living supports designed to help students complete a degree program. Staff also develops individualized plans to help students learn skills for becoming independent members of the college community at Fairmont State University.
