Fairmont State’s Visit to State Capitol Sets Important Affairs in Motion

Fairmont State President Dr. Mike Davis and a delegation of students, faculty and staff visited the West Virginia State Capitol in Charleston on January 29. During the visit House representatives, senators and even Governor Jim Justice met with those visiting from the University to discuss important initiatives Fairmont State is taking for students and the community. To commemorate the day, January 29, 2024 was officially recognized as Fairmont State University Day at the West Virginia Legislature by the House and Senate.

Alumna produced Sundance Film Screening on Fairmont State’s Campus Feb. 19

The Frank and Jane Gabor West Virginia Folklife Center will be hosting a screening of the film King Coal at Fairmont State University’s Ruth Ann Musick Library on February 19 at 6 p.m. Co-producer and Fairmont State alumna Molly Born will be in attendance to participate in a post-film Q&A. The screening is free and open to students and community members.
