Commencement Information Notes

Although we will not be able to physically be together on May 9, the culminating achievements of you and your peers will be celebrated through this Virtual Commencement ceremony and we hope that you will participate. Below are details about this special event and other Commencement related updates.

We have partnered with Stage Clip to host your virtual Commencement and you should have recently received an email from them. This event will include ways for you to share and celebrate with your classmates, family and friends. A SNAPCHAT lens has been built to even put you in a cap and gown. If you have not received an email from Stage Clip please click here.

In addition to the virtual celebration, at this time we are also planning to observe our traditional Commencement rites and rituals later this fall. A tentative date of Saturday, August 8 has been set. You will be provided more information regarding this celebration in the weeks ahead. We anticipate sending an updated invitation to you by June 1, 2020.

Caps and Gowns can now be ordered by clicking here. Orders must be placed by July 6. Orders placed after that day may incur additional fees. Herff Jones will mail your cap and gown directly to you at the address you provide during checkout. If you have questions please email the campus bookstore at

For those who qualify to graduate with academic honors, honor cords will be mailed to you from the Office of the Registrar prior to the August 8 Commencement ceremony.

We know that this spring is not allowing for many of the celebrations you and all of us on campus have long planned. Please know that your achievements  are important and we cannot wait to celebrate them with you.
