The Art Department at Fairmont State University, as its mission, provides the understanding and application of skills, imagery, processes, techniques, and contextual information for the development and discussion of visual forms and concepts as they apply to working in the field of Studio Art and/or Art Education. Additionally, the Art Department aims to contribute to the cultural life of the community.

The Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts and the Masquers theatre group present Paul Rudnick’s “I Hate Hamlet” in February.

“I Hate Hamlet” opens at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, on the Wallman Hall stage. Other performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21; 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22; and 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 26 through 28. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door or by calling the Box Office at (304) 367-4240. FSU students are admitted for free.
