COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ALUMNI

Greetings to all graduates of Fairmont State who majored in biology, chemistry, forensic science, math, computer science/computer security, or any of the engineering technology, graphics technology or aviation maintenance or management programs!

Current opportunities for alumni are described below. We also would like to hear from you about your ideas and needs. Please contact us at the email address on the right.

College of Science and Technology Student and Alumni Electronic Forum

All alumni from programs in the College of Science and Technology are invited to re-connect with fellow graduates, current students and program faculty in our new Science and Technology Student and Alumni Forum.

The forum is an electronic space for information sharing that utilizes our WebCT/Vista campus course management technology. To sign up for the forum, you will need to activate or re-activate your unified campus account (UCA). The Alumni UCA link in the gold bar at the upper right of this page takes you to directions for activating or reactivating your UCA.

Alumni Web Spotlights

We would also love to have you complete an Alumni spotlight. Look to the right to see a list of current College of Science and Technology Alumni Spotlights.

If you are interested in submitting your spotlight, please complete and submit our online form or contact us (contact information at right) to request a spotlight form and instructions for photo submission. These will be posted on the Fairmont State webpage and used for recruiting purposes.

Mentoring Program

We have initiated a mentoring program in the College of Science and Technology for the fall of 2006. The program is called the Mentor Link. We have connected first-year students who have declared majors in our college programs with upperclassmen science and technology students. Now our goal is to link this group of students, or mentor family, with an alumni who grew up in the same home counties. We also would like to make discipline-based links between science and technology students and alumni. Alumni participation will be mainly electronic, through the College of Science and Technology Student and Alumni forum described above. To find out more about this program, please contact us (contact information at right).

Contributing to our Fairmont State Foundation

The College of Science and Technology is proud to offer numerous opportunities for our students to receive scholarships and awards this spring. Last year we were able to offer over $13,000 in awards and scholarships through generous endowments and contributions to the Fairmont State Foundation. If you are interested in contributing to any of these scholarships, awards, or our general fund, please contact the Fairmont State Foundation.
