Forensic and Investigative Science

The Forensic Investigative Science minor is open to all students, except Forensic Science majors. Fairmont State University is the second university in the state to offer this forensic investigative science minor.

This is a rare opportunity that allows students to take courses such as crime scene investigation, introduction to forensic science, and forensic biology. It is an opportunity for students to learn and apply real techniques used in forensics.

• Describe the natural sciences, including scientific inquiry, cell theory, and basic chemistry of life.
• Apply crime scene processing, collecting, and analyzing techniques during field collection and lab analysis.
