To ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff, the University will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. All in-person classes starting before 10 a.m. are cancelled.
Students are advised to check Blackboard and campus e-mail for messages and/or assignments from faculty regarding classes before 10 a.m.
Employees should report to campus for 10 a.m. Some personnel necessary to the operation of the University, including those who work in the Physical Plant, Dining Services, the Falcon Center, and Public Safety, are considered essential employees and are expected to report to campus.
Please take caution when traveling to and from campus. Additional weather updates will be communicated through our emergency alert system, social media, and the University website.
Note that due to this weather system, we anticipate closure of the top deck of the parking garage for the next few days. (This location accounts for a significant portion of winter slip, trip, and fall injuries on campus. To support the integrity of the structure, salt or other ice melting agents cannot be used. Structural deterioration from de-icers can lead to major repairs costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.) The University will alert motorists via large yellow signs posted at the traffic circle, near Turley Center, and at the top of the hill.

You should complete as many sections relevant to your academic and professional activities as possible. Please refer to your chair or dean for more guidance.
Please review this step-by-step guide to inputting information into each section for Activities.
Yes! Once you have inputted information you wish to have on your CV into Faculty Success, click Rapid Reports, and then Vita to produce your CV as a Word document on which you can make additional edits.

Course evaluations provide students with the opportunity to provide critical feedback to faculty on their courses. The University takes these evaluations seriously. Faculty and administrators engaged in improving students’ learning use student feedback to enhance their own teaching, improve future course quality, and augment students’ overall learning experiences across curricula and course modalities.
End-of-semester course evaluations are made available to all students enrolled in a creditable Fairmont State University class. All evaluations are administered online through Course Evaluations & Surveys (formerly EvaluationKIT), and can also be accessed through Blackboard. The University no longer employs paper course evaluations.

Faculty can view evaluations only after the end of the course grading period. Evaluations are made available to faculty in the form of a report.
Two to three weeks prior to the end of your course, you will receive an email notification at your Fairmont State University student email address with links to access and complete your evaluations. Notifications in Blackboard will also allow you to access your evaluations.
At this time, the University is not yet able to offer prior course evaluation reports to students during course registration periods. You should consult with your academic advisor prior to registering for courses to ensure you have the best course schedule to meet your academic goals.
