The overall mission of the NEST to provide Fairmont State students in need with essential resources such as food and hygiene products. The NEST is located on the second floor of the Falcon Center (also known as Main Street), and is situated next to the Student Government Association Office which is closest to the entrance near the Morrow and Prichard Hall cul-de-sac.
The NEST carries canned foods, boxed meals, and grab n' go snack items for students to take home. Additionally, the NEST receives fresh food donations from the Community Garden, which are kept fresh in our mini-fridge, baby food products and formula, and hygiene products such as toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, and diapers.
All Fairmont State and Pierpont students, however, students with meal plans are not eligible for food items but may receive hygiene products. Institutional ID cards are required to receive items.
All food donations may be brought to the NEST during operation hours. For special delivery times or if you want to benefit the nest and are unsure of what to provide, please contact the Student Body President or the Advisor for help. All monetary donations should be directed to the Advisor Meagan Gibson (304) 333-3665, located in TC 222 in the Career Development Center.
