True or False:
College is all about classes, writing papers and studying for exams.
Answer: False.
It's about finding yourself. This means you will lay a firm foundation for lifelong learning and a career. Some of that will happen in class, at the library and in study groups. But some of it will occur as you assume leadership positions on campus, serve the larger community and try new things.
The great thing about getting involved on campus is—you run the show. We empower students to take charge of what happens here so you learn what works, what doesn't and how you can make things better. That pretty much sums up what life is all about.
We have more than 80 student organizations ranging from Student Government, professional and honorary organizations to fraternities, sororities, music groups, religious clubs and arts organizations. About 50 percent of our students participate in Intramurals — we offer 24 sports such as flag football, softball, horseshoes and backgammon. See what we've got to offer. And if you don't find what you're looking for? Start your own program. We love it when that happens.
