The event will be presented by Kohler Sales Executive Dominic Gillot from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 126 of the Education Building. The event is open to all local interior designers/architects/contractors in need of continuing education units for certification, licensing or registration requirements. Gillot will be giving two presentations that will count for two approved CEU credits.
Gillot is a Kohler Sales Executive in western Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia. He has 25 years of experience in the plumbing industry, where he interacts with architects, designers, builders and K&B dealers. Gillot will be using his experience to educate local professionals about Water Conservation and Toilet Flushing Technology.
The Water Conservation course will cover general water conservation, LEED standards and how to specify water-saving plumbing solutions that contribute to the big picture. After this presentation, an architect or designer should understand water conservation and how plumbing fixtures and faucets impact the environment which will help when recommending and specifying water conserving plumbing fixtures for clients.
The Toilet Flushing Technology course will discuss some of the dramatic changes in flushing technologies due to water conservation initiatives, as well as highlights of new Kohler toilets which prove that quality, performance and design do not have to be sacrificed in order to save water. After this presentation, an architect or designer should understand the various flushing technologies and design and feel comfortable recommending and specifying toilets for their clients.
