In response, Pierpont Community & Technical College's Center for Workforce Education has launched a new online course titled "Principles of Green Buildings."
The program explains the science that professionals in these fields need to know to make buildings perform more efficiently and provide the healthiest possible environment for their occupants. The course also helps prepare individuals for Building Performance Institute, North American Technician Excellence (NATE), National Association of the Remodeling Industry, Residential Energy Services Network and other industry credentials for green buildings. Successful completion of the course is recognized by NATE for 28 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) applicable to the NATE certifications.
