Computer and technology support centers at Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College are being combined into one central campus location to offer more streamlined and convenient service to students, faculty and staff.

Fairmont State University and CONSOL Energy have announced an agreement that will make CONSOL the official sponsor of the 2010 Fairmont State Athletic Association (FSAA) Spring Scholarship Banquet. The $10,000 sponsorship agreement is the largest in the 48-year history of the event.

The Fairmont State University Collegiate Chapter of Music Educators National Conference will host an Alumni Recital at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 17, in the Turley Center Ballroom on the main FSU campus. 

Professional dulcimer player Stephen Seifert has been named as the 2010 Artist-in-Residence at Fairmont State University and will perform in several venues this weekend.

Appalachian dulcimer virtuoso Stephen Seifert will appear in concert with the Fairmont State University Community Orchestra at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 11, in the Turley Center Ballroom on the FSU campus. Admission to the concert is free and open to the public.

The annual Celebration of Student Scholarship showcases the creative work of Fairmont State University students with a special day dedicated to their academic achievements.
