For the first time in United States history, a middle college program has been launched exclusively to support children who are currently in foster care. Middle College at Fairmont State University is a specialized, on-campus, academic program created for West Virginia youth, ages 16 and older. Over two years, the students will live on campus full-time and earn their high school diploma and an associate degree or use earned credits towards a bachelor's degree.
