Results are based on 2011-12 Cost of Attendance figures and student aid eligibility requirements which are subject to change. For the fourth year, West Virgina high school seniors have the opportunity to compete for Fairmont State University's premier academic scholarships that cover tuition and fees, room and board and a $1,000 textbook stipend.

Meet the requirements.
To qualify, you must be a current high school senior who lives in West Virginia. You must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 and have an ACT composite of 26 or SAT composite of 1190. You have to be a PROMISE Scholarship recipient. |

To be considered, you have to apply for admission to FSU. (Your admissions file must be complete, which means you have to complete your general application and send us your high school transcript and test scores.) To apply, click here. Once you have filled out the applcation, please mail it to Office of Admissions, 1201 Locust Ave., Fairmont, WV 26554. You also need to include an essay with your application. |

Next Steps This is a competitive scholarship. Once you have applied for admission and for the scholarship by following the steps above, you will be contacted to schedule an on-campus interview. Charles J. McClain Presidential Scholars will be chosen based on their academic qualifications, community service activities and leadership involvement in conjunction with your essay, admissions counselor recommendation and personal interview. Only three FSU students and one Pierpont student will be selected to receive this premier scholarship. |
