With the rapid changes occurring in today's fast paced business environment, the ability to educate and train employees quickly, effectively and in a cost-efficient manner has become critical component of success. In an effort to better serve the employee training needs of business and industry, Pierpont Community & Technical College created the Center for Workforce Education (CWE). The Center coordinates a variety of institutional and regional resources aimed at providing employers the training they need. A network of faculty, professional trainers and consultants are available to assist new and existing businesses.

At the Center for Workforce Education, we understand that circumstances may sometimes necessitate that employee training be designed and completed within a short time frame. Accordingly, we're prepared to respond quickly with just-in-time training. The old adage of one-size-fits-all is rarely a satisfactory approach to successful employee training. Our methodology is to work closely with companies in assessing their existing employee skills. We then develop programs designed to ensure that employees receive appropriate types and levels of training. Additionally, the Center knows that  the location and delivery methods for training programs may vary. Not all training can or should be delivered at our campus between the hours of nine and five. Accordingly, we can provide training on-site at times that best accommodate employer needs. Through its network of resources, the Center for Workforce Education can respond to human resource development needs in a variety of technical and non-technical areas. We provide quality training that's flexible, affordable and delivered when, where and how it's needed.
