For several semesters students enrolled in Dr. Valerie Morphew’s Instructional Technology course (EDUC 2201) were required to participate in a community service learning project. Students were asked to create five desktop publishing documents for community individuals or organizations. After completing their service, students were asked to reflect on their experience. The community benefited in many ways and the students further developed their technology skills. Schools, a fire department, and animal groups are examples of organizations that benefited from student service.
