Blair Montgomery, President of Pierpont Community & Technical College of FSU, is one of seven members of an American Association of Community Colleges delegation currently visiting China. Their mission is to work with Chinese vocational schools to help them develop programs that result in transferability from community colleges to universities and to help universities set up community colleges. In service since 1920, the American Association of Community Colleges has aptly been called the voice of America's community colleges.

The Association represents and advocates for more than 1,200 associate-degree granting institutions enrolling more than 12 million students - almost half of all U.S. undergraduates.
