Homecoming 2017, Fairmont Flashback, will take place September 28-30.  Join us for a variety of events including the Homecoming Parade followed by a gathering at the Joe n’ Throw; the Emeritus Luncheon and Alumni Award Winners Brunch; and  a reception to honor the1967 Football National Championship team followed by their induction into the  Athletic Hall of Fame.  Click below for more detailed information and to register for the events.

The first edition of The Mound yearbook was published in 1908 by the senior class of Fairmont State Normal School.

At that time, the school was located on Fairmont Avenue. Student organizations included religious, literary and academic societies. Tuition was free.

On July 22, more than 100 former Falcons attended the 2017 Freshman Counselor Reunion that took place on the main campus in the Falcon Center.  Many of the graduates had not been back to campus since they graduated and enjoyed seeing all of the changes to campus.

At the annual end-of-the-year picnic for Fairmont State University faculty and staff, RJ Gimbl, President and CEO of the Fairmont State Foundation, surprised FSU President Maria Rose with a special gift from the FSU community. Gimbl announced the creation of the Maria C. Rose Endowed Scholarship for first generation college students.
