Students in the Fairmont State University - Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art program will focus on creative and technical skill-building through exposure to and the practice of various visual arts media and the study of the History of Art.

They help students to improve their skills in all aspects of art making as they work towards careers in the Visual Arts.

Mission

The Studio Art Degree of the Art Department at Fairmont State University, as its mission, provides the understanding and application of skills, imagery, processes, techniques, and contextual information for the development and discussion of visual forms and concepts as they apply to working in the field of Studio Art and/or Art Education. Additionally, the Art Department aims to contribute to the cultural life of the community.
