OVERVIEW OF THE MAJOR IN GRAPHICS / FINE ARTS

Fairmont State University Department of Art, in cooperation with the Pierpont Community & Technical College of FSU, provides a 2+2 program leading to the B.S. degree in Graphics/Fine Arts. Successful completion of the associate degree in Graphics Technology with a specialization in Commercial Design constitutes the first two years of the B.S. degree.


EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR GRAPHICS / FINE ARTS MAJORS

Students completing the B.S. degree in Graphics/Fine Arts will be able to seek employment in the fields of graphic arts, layout, illustration, web page design, advertising design and in the printing industry where the skills of the artist/layout/desinger are used. Fairmont State students will also be competent to compete with graduates of most colleges for graduate studies in graphic art or studio art.
