Admission Requirements:
Admission to the HIT Program at Pierpont Community and Technical College is selective and students are admitted each year prior to the opening of the Fall semester. The number of students admitted to the program is based upon available space in the clinical affiliates.
To be considered for admission, applicants must:
1. Meet the general admission requirements at Pierpont Community and Technical College.
2. Have a high school GPA and, if applicable, a college GPA of 2.0 or better.
3. You must have a minimum ACT Math score of 19, or a COMPASS Algebra score of 36 or Math 0095 and an ACT English score of 18, or a COMPASS English score of 71 or English 0097.
Admission Procedures:
- Complete Pierpont Community & Technical College admission application (only applicable to new students.)
- Complete the application for the Health Information Technology Program
- Official High school transcripts/GED
- American College Test (ACT) or SAT or COMPASS placement testing (English/Math)
- Official college transcript if applicable
- Pay the $20 application fee (nonrefundable)
