Early Childhood Associate in Applied Science Degree Program Outcomes
The Early Childhood Associate in Applied Science Degree prepares the graduate for direct employment but also provides a basic foundation of courses that will not be a barrier to transfer into a child development related four-year degree program at Fairmont State or West Virginia University.
Early Childhood course objectives are designed to meet associate degree program standards developed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is the largest early childhood professional organization. It is also one of the professional association members of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
