The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a four part assesment consisting of reading, English, mathematics, and science. Students interested in admission to the College of Nursing must take the exam as part of admission requirements.
Students who prefer to take the exam in-person can do so by registering through ATI. Students will need to send their scores to Fairmont State after taking the exam. Should a student need a quiet location to take the test, current Fairmont State students can book a study room in the Fairmont State library. Any test-taker can utilize the Marion County Public Library located on Adams Street, even without a library card.
At this time, the LEAD Center will not be offering TEAS exam sessions nor do we have TEAS-specific tutors. However, students can still book sessions with our tutors to receive test-prep assistance for a specific portion of the exam. Please stop by the front desk or email us at tutoring@fairmontstate.edu to schedule an appointment in your desired subject area (i.e. reading, English, mathematics, and science).
