SGA to Stay Scholarship

The SGA to Stay Scholarship is designed to assist students who are in their 3rd or 4th year at Fairmont State University who have served in some type of leadership role and seeking additional assistance toward tuition and fees in order to STAY at Fairmont State University.

The Student Government Association provides a one-year scholarship of $1,000 ($500 Fall semester, $500 Spring semester) that will be awarded to two students at Fairmont State University who are currently in either their Junior or Senior year. The scholarship selection is chosen is by the Student Government Association Executive Board members from the information provided in the application. 

Scholarship Criteria:

• Full-time student at Fairmont State University
• Classify as a Junior or Senior and have completed a minimum of 60 credits
• Minimum GPA of 2.75 
• Must meet Financial Aid SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress)
• Scholarship to be used for tuition and/or university fees
• Essay submittal required (essay prompt listed at bottom of scholarship application)
